Guardian Water & Power Introduces
Guardian Scan+sm
Columbus, Ohio - Guardian
Water & Power, a Columbus-based supplier of utility cost
recovery services, today announced the introduction of Guardian
Scan+sm.
Guardian Scan+sm
is an online information service that helps reduce utility
expenses in multiunit residential and commercial properties.
Property owners, managers and maintenance personnel can access
the new information service at Guardian’s web site.
Guardian Scan+sm
provides utility usage profiles on a unit-by-unit basis in
continuous 24-hour time increments. The data can be viewed
in either descending or ascending order.
“We designed Guardian Scan+sm
so that property managers can quickly identify water leaks
and vacancy heat loss”, said Robert Kennedy, Guardian’s
System Development Manager. “Leaks and heat losses that
would otherwise go undetected until release of the next monthly
property report, can now be proactively identified,”
according to Kennedy. Guardian Scan+sm
is currently available for all Guardian accounts equipped
with SpeedRead data transmission technology. “Inovonics
and Hexagram versions of Guardian Scan+sm
will be released this June,” said Kennedy.
Initial testing of Guardian Scan+sm
was conducted at a 400-unit manufactured housing community
located in Northeast Ohio. “Our community needed a way
to quickly identify and repair water leaks,” said Shawn
Hopkins, maintenance director at Pikewood Manor. “Guardian’s
new online monitoring service helps us identify water leaks
and control our community’s water utility expenses,”
according to Hopkins.
