Guardian Water & Power Signs Distributor Agreement With SpeedRead Technologies
Columbus, Ohio April 6, 2005 – Guardian Water & Power, a Columbus-based supplier of utility submetering services, today announced that it has signed a distributor agreement with SpeedRead Technologies. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, SpeedRead is the exclusive North American marketer for the Miltel AMR (automatic meter reading) system for the submetering market.
“Miltel’s AMR technology including multi-port transmitters and minimum repeater requirements will help us provide improved cost efficiencies for our utility submetering clients,” stated Guardian President Harry Apostolos. “Many systems that would have required an extensive repeater system can now be installed with as few as one or two repeaters,” Apostolos said.
“We are excited about our distributor partnership with Guardian,” said Brian Reynolds, SpeedRead’s Chief Operating Officer. “ Guardian’s 22 year submetering track record and their extensive experience in multi-unit commercial properties and manufactured housing communities will help improve our market presence in these areas,” Reynolds said.
“Our first SpeedRead installation will begin later this month at a newly developed shopping center located in Clinton, Maryland,” according to Apostolos. “From there we’ll shift our service technicians to Clarksville, Tennessee to install Miltel electronics in a manufactured housing community,” Apostolos said.
